My Interests

I just finished six years of education at Humboldt State University in Arcata,CA. I am a trumpet player and have been for 16 years. I like to play mostly classical and some jazz. I have spent some time on Natural Trumpet and Cornetto. Currently, I am working as a music and computer teacher for Lake Quinault School District.

Looking for some adventure, I have joined the Lake Quinault Fire Department as a firefighter and a first responder. I live close enough to the fire hall that I get to drive the ambulance quite a bit... What a hoot.

Music is one of those joys that I cannot live without. One of the bands I was in for a year and a half was the infamous Humboldt State University Marching Lumberjacks . What a band... (Where?)

I am also an Ham Radio operator with the call sign of KD6URX. I have a Technician Plus license. I mostly talk on 2 meters around the area but will get into HF eventually. Here is some more information about Ham Radio..

I am also a person that likes to play with computers. I find they,

#1. Keep me from making big mistakes with respect to homework,
